WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Llumar Fresh Productions, S.L. is a family company based in Vilanova de Bellpuig, province of Lleida, we are dedicated to the agricultural production and marketing of our products and also of other producers, through the process of classification, packaging and labeling of the production. Our main crop is onions, of which different varieties are produced, separated by periods: Early onions: They are sown in September/October and harvested in May/June. Late onions: Sown in February and harvested in July/August.
WHAT WE DO
Our company carries out the entire cultivation process respecting good agricultural practices in all phases from the setting up of the farms, continuing with sowing, fertilizing, and protection from diseases and pests and finally harvesting of the product and cleaning of the farms used. All phases are done with the appropriate and approved machinery for each type of activity. The operators who carry out the different tasks have the necessary training for each activity and have the appropriate protective equipment. The commercialization section begins with the harvest of the crop, in which we dedicate a period of time to drying and compliance with the safety terms that correspond to the last protection and conservation treatments of the product. Once this period has passed, the product is packaged and sold. Different types of packaging are used for packaging, cardboard boxes, wooden boxes, mesh bags with band, all with capacity for various weight formats. Our marketing period starts in May/June coinciding with the early onion harvest and ends in March/April of the following year.
